Danze Blood Architects worked with Huston - Tillotson University, an historically black institution that serves a diverse population, on a Schematic Design and Feasibility study for a Health and Wellness Center to be built on their campus. The Facility is to fill the urgent need for access to healthcare education, prevention and fitness facilities to members of the campus community and the adjacent close-knit neighborhood community that surrounds it. The building will house a multi-purpose gym for practice, competition, instruction and graduation ceremonies as well as an indoor track for practice and competition, athletic conditioning and recreation for students, faculty and staff. (This project grew out of a Design Studio taught by Danze in 2006.)
